SAME DATES, NEW YEAR We've decided to RESCHEDULE the Slow Flowers Summit for the same dates, one year later, on June 28-29, 2021, at Filoli Historic House & Garden.

The Slow Flowers team recently met with the leadership at Filoli, our partner-venue for the Slow Flowers Summit in Woodside, California. We had previously agreed on a "backup" date this fall, October 26-27, 2020, should we be prevented from holding the Slow Flowers Summit this June as originally planned. We now have more clarity about what a fall conference might look like and we've concluded the following:

(A) There is a strong likelihood that events and gatherings will be limited to fewer than 50 people. With 110 people already registered for the Summit, it is not realistic to safely gather in that large of a group for some time. (B) Even if we're wrong about the size of gatherings allowed, we suspect many people will be hesitant to travel by airplane through the end of 2020. OTHER OPTIONS? We also considered holding a "virtual" livestream conference or some kind of hybrid event. In evaluating our choices, I kept returning to our core mission for the Slow Flowers Summit: to Inquire, Inform, Include, Instigate and Inspire. I also read through the feedback from past Summit evaluations, which reveal that making live, in-person connections with fellow attendees and speakers is the top-stated reason you love to attend.

YOUR REGISTRATION

For those of you who have already registered to attend the Summit, your ticket will automatically be transferred to the 2021 Summit. As you know, registrations are transferable to another person (and we're happy to help identify someone to purchase your ticket!). We understand everyone has a unique situation, so please contact us with any questions or needs regarding your plans.

And, although not in person, I am very excited to celebrate American Flowers Week with you this June 28-July 4. We will announce a full calendar of bonus events, activities and content in the coming weeks -- including some exclusive online experiences available only for Summit registrants.

Additionally, we are planning new online events for all Slow Flowers members so keep an eye on your inbox and social media for more information soon! In the meantime, we invite you to stay connect through the Slow Flowers Summit Facebook group.

Please reach out with any questions! Can't wait to see you in 2021!!
