Travel & Accommodations
Where should I stay?
A courtesy room block with discounted nightly rates is available at a nearby hotel - just 23 miles from our Day 1 venue, Maple Grove Farm, and 5 miles from our Days 2 & 3 venue, Stone Barns Center for Food & Agriculture. The Courtyard Tarrytown Westchester County hotel by Marriott is ideally settled in the picturesque village of Tarrytown, NY.
Book by phone: 1-800-321-2211 and mention "Slow Flowers Society room block at Tarrytown Couryard"
What airport should I fly into?
Both Summit venues are located in Westchester County, New York about 35 miles north of New York in the beautiful Hudson Valley.
Is transportation provided to/from the airport, hotel, or event venues?
Transportation to and from the airport, hotel and event venues is not provided. We recommend joining the Slow Flowers Summit private Facebook group - that's for Summit guests only - to organize carpools and share expenses.
Health & Safety
Will proof of vaccination be required to attend?
If there's one thing we've learned the last few years of planning events, it's that a lot can change over a short period of time. Therefore, any recommended and required safety protocols will be determined as the event date gets closer.
Can you accommodate dietary needs?
Yes. We provide gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian and vegan options at all meals. If something more specific is needed, email firstname.lastname@example.org with your request and we will work with our catering partners and do our best to accommodate your needs. We'll also email all Summit guests closer to the event date to make sure we have dietary needs from everyone.
Can I bring a guest to dinner at Blue Hill on Monday?
Yes - the more the merrier! Monday, June 27 we are hosting an all-inclusive seasonal farm-to-fork dinner crafted by Michelin Star recipient, Blue Hill at Stone Barns. The dinner includes cocktail reception and wine pairings.
Is there a chance for us to design?
Yes! Inspired by the Floral Design Takeover at the 2021 Summit, we'll be doing it again! Finding inspiration in our surroundings, each Summit guest will get to learn and create alongside others the entire second half of Day 1. In small groups, we'll create an installation that will come to the Days 2-3 venue with us, along with ceterpieces and more! It's an awesome opportunity to let your creativity flow and everyone is welcome - experts and novices alike.
