Safety Measures + 2021 Ticket Policy 


The Slow Flowers Summit will be a live, in-person conference with all originally announced programming in June, although we anticipate fewer than expected in-person attendees. In addition:

  • We encourage all guests to stay home if they are sick, have symptoms of Covid-19, or have tested positive for Covid-19, or have been in contact with someone who has been sick, has symptoms of Covid-19, or tested positive for Covid-19, within 14 days prior to the Summit.

  • We're taking the conference outside to the beautiful grounds at Filoli Historic House & Garden to allow for fresh California air.

  • Face coverings must be worn at all times, including while photos are being taken, in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Programming will be offered in outdoor spaces with the recommended physical distancing provided. 

  • We are working with our catering partner to ensure food and drinks are served in a safe way for each guest.



  • No full refunds or cancellations.

  • Tickets are transferable.

In these ever changing times, Slow Flowers and our venue partner, Filoli, recognize that San Mateo County Health Orders can occur and affect events at Filoli. During the public health crisis surrounding COVID-19, if a mandate is created within San Mateo County that limits the size of social gatherings and impacts the 2021 Slow Flowers Summit based on the number of attendees, we will be in contact with all Summit guests regarding options and next steps.


  • Tickets purchased prior to to December 31, 2020 have been transferred to the 2021 Slow Flowers Summit at Filoli Historic House & Garden in Woodside, California on June 28-30, 2021.

  • Tickets holders who purchased Summit tickets prior to to December 31, 2020 who are unable to attend in person may request a partial refund of $170 off the original amount of their Summit ticket purchase.

    • Videos of the in-person programming, including keynote by Susan Mcleary, newly added speakers Abra Lee and Max Gill, and capstone presentation by Jennifer Jewell, will be professionally recorded and provided after the event to those who are unable to attend live.

    • Special programming will be made available for those who do not attend in person, including an online reception.

    • A gift package from Slow Flowers and Summit sponsors will be mailed prior to the Summit.

    • Requests for partial refund of $170 can be made by emailing

    • Requests for partial refund must be requested by May 24, 2021.

    • The $170 refund will be applied to the payment method used for the original ticket purchase.


For those of wishing to transfer their ticket to another person instead, post your request to the Slow Flowers Society Facebook page and community, and the Slow Flowers Summit private Facebook group (someone may want to bring a friend!). You are responsible for finding a buyer for your ticket, although we are happy to add your name to a list of sellers that we'll share with anyone who contacts us directly. Reach out to us at
